Butterfly is Australia’s national charity for people impacted by eating disorders and body image issues, and for the families, friends and professionals who support them. We provide support and treatment services, resources, and early intervention and prevention programs. We involve lived experience in all that we do.
Butterfly’s National Helpline connects help seekers with counsellors via phone, email, and webchat. Our Referral Database lists pre-screened health care professionals and includes Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinicians. We also operate Australia's first residential treatment centre, now open to international participants, and coordinate the National Eating Disorders Collaboration (NEDC) for the Department of Health. |
Whāraurau is funded by Government to provide development, training, resources and support for the infant, child, adolescent and youth mental health, alcohol and other drugs workforce.
